2.4: My Plate

Do you remember this? It’s a good idea to keep this in mind when you are thinking about planning meals for your family to help you balance calories. Every meal won’t have foods from all of these food groups but think about how you can include at least one fruit or vegetable in each meal.

Make your plan based on what you know you have on hand at home and do not include any fast food including frozen fast foods that are high in calories. Consider how much time you will have to prepare the meals and what you could make ahead of time. Think about how you could have your teen help with at least one meal. Try to stick to this plan for those two days.
